Michael J. Verde, M.D., D.C. is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with subspecialties in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine. He is highly trained in treating all matters of spine and sports related injuries with a focus on returning patients to optimal function. He is currently practicing at our Freehold, Jackson, Point Pleasant, and Toms River locations.
Dr. Verde treats a variety of patients from professional athletes to weekend mall walkers. He is currently serving as a team physician for The Jackson Lions and is active with the World Cup All-Star Cheerleaders.
Dr. Verde Graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2006 and practiced diversified technique as well as A.R.T for two years prior to attending medical school. He then graduated from St. George’s College of Medicine in 2012. His post-graduate training was completed at Michigan State University where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, he completed a fellowship for additional training in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at Performance Spine and Sports Medicine in Lawrenceville, NJ. Dr. Verde is well versed in all of the latest techniques and technology involved with interventional spinal procedures (such as: epidural steroid injections, facet injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations and spinal cord stimulation) as well as sports and regenerative medicine, including Platelet Rich Plasma injections, stem cell treatments and percutaneous tenotomies.
Dr. Verde is originally from Staten Island, NY. Since childhood he has been extremely active in the fishing community and saltwater fishing is his passion. It was through his love of fishing that he entered the medical field, after being injured while working on a fishing boat. Dr. Verde takes great pride in being able to restore his patients back to optimal functioning capabilities as soon as possible.
