Madelyn “MJ” Black is a registered and licensed occupational therapist in Monmouth County dedicated to helping her community return to activities of daily living, thrive at their desired sports, and participate in life pain-free. She began her occupational therapist journey by earning her bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. She continued her education by graduating from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a Masters in Occupational Therapy.
Madelyn has clinical experience providing occupational therapy services to various populations from pediatrics to geriatrics with differing disorders, including but not limited to: orthopedic conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, neuromuscular disorders, and children with developmental delays and other conditions. Most recently, she has experience with treating cervical spine and upper extremity conditions including radiculopathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, cubital tunnel syndrome, lateral epicondylitis, dupuytren's contractures, rotator cuff injuries, arthritis, and more. Madelyn’s biggest passion is helping her patients regain function and independence to return to their most meaningful occupations.
Madelyn’s crowning achievement prior to her shining degrees includes earning her Varsity Letter in 4 sports in high school. Outside of work, she continues to lead an active outdoor lifestyle including walking her dog, riding her road bike, and rock climbing.
