Joseph Goldfedder is a Licensed Acupuncturist who is highly experienced in treating chronic and acute pain conditions. He believes acupuncture is a means to empower patients in their healing; body, mind, and spirit. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team at Northeast Spine and Sports Medicine, he has witnessed how acupuncture optimally enhances patient treatment plans. Joseph sees patients at our Toms River Office.
Prior to completing his Masters of Science of Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College, Joseph received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. This trajectory enhanced his understanding how the science of acupuncture blends both art and medicine. Joseph combines a number of philosophies based upon the symptoms a patient presents, including the teachings of Master Tung, Dr. Richard Tan, Kiiko Matsumuto, Abdominal Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Tui-Na Massage modalities. He has been practicing acupuncture for thirteen years.
Joseph first experienced the profound healing effects of acupuncture while he was living in New Mexico. Developing an awareness of what Chinese Medicine calls “Qi”, the study of acupuncture continues to be an ongoing passion for him. His goal is to help patients live their best lives possible with the aid of acupuncture.
